Beginning the week of June 15, Flood Control District #9 will be conducting controlled maintenance work on the Broadford Levee. Work will occur along approximately 500 yards of levee extending north from the Lower Broadford Bridge.
The purpose of this work is to remove trees greater than 2 inches in diameter that have become established on the levee. Vegetation management is being conducted to reduce the risk of root-related damage and maintain the structural integrity of the levee.
Please be aware that equipment and crews will be present in the area during this time.
