The City of Bellevue is issuing a Boil Water Notice effective immediately until tomorrow (August 21st at 11:00am).
During a fire hydrant replacement today on 6th and Birch, we experienced an unexpected water valve break, which caused water pressure in parts of our system to drop below 20 psi.
What this means for you:
-All residents and businesses should bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or washing food.
-Boiled or bottled water should be used until further notice.
-It is safe to shower and bathe, but avoid swallowing water.
Our Public Works and Water Department crews are actively working to make repairs and restore full pressure as quickly as possible. Once the system has been stabilized and water samples confirm safety, the boil order will be lifted.

Durante el reemplazo de una boca de incendio hoy en 6th y Birch, experimentamos una rotura inesperada de una válvula de agua, lo que provocó que la presión del agua en partes de nuestro sistema cayera por debajo de 20 psi.

Nuestras cuadrillas del Departamento de Obras Públicas y Agua están trabajando activamente para realizar las reparaciones y restaurar la presión completa lo más pronto posible. Una vez que el sistema se estabilice y las muestras de agua confirmen que es segura, se levantará el aviso de hervir el agua.
