The City of Bellevue urges all residents, businesses, and applicants to stay vigilant against scammers and phishing emails.
It has come to our attention that fraudulent emails are being sent to individuals, falsely claiming to be from the City of Bellevue, requesting wire transfers or other forms of payment. These scams may appear convincing, using official-sounding language or spoofed email addresses.
Please be advised:
- The City of Bellevue will NEVER request payment via wire transfer for any applications, permits, or services.
- All official communications from the City regarding payments will direct you to our secure payment portals or provide instructions for in-person payments at City Hall.
- If you receive an unsolicited email or message requesting sensitive information, payment via wire transfer, or urging immediate action, do not respond and do not click on any links.
What to Do if You Receive a Suspicious Email:
- Do not reply or click on links.
- Verify the sender’s email address—official City emails will always come from an @bellevueidaho.us address.
- Contact Bellevue City Hall directly at (208) 788-2128 or email clerk@bellevueidaho.us to verify the legitimacy of any request.
- Report suspicious emails to clerk@bellevueidaho.us for further investigation.
Your security is a top priority. Help us spread the word and protect our community by staying alert.
Thank you,
City of Bellevue Staff
