There are new oak trees taking root in Memorial Park and O’Donnell Park! These drought-tolerant, hearty trees were acquired for the recent Pop-Up Plaza event using generous grant funds from Frontier Community Resources and planted in locations chosen by the Bellevue Parks Committee. The City is deeply grateful to Clearwater Landscaping for donating time and labor to plant these trees, which are already a beloved addition to Bellevue’s parks. As years pass, these trees will increasingly cast shade, provide habitat, supply visual beauty, reduce ambient heat, and sequester carbon, among many other benefits.
