Bellevue Clean Sweep Weekend — Let’s Clear the Way for Bellevue to Blossom!

Bellevue is ready to shine. On Saturday, May 2nd, our community joins the Environmental Resource Center (ERC) for the 30th Annual Clean Sweep, a valley‑wide tradition of rolling up our sleeves, caring for our shared spaces, and celebrating what makes our town special. From 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Bellevue volunteers will gather at Memorial Park (between Cedar & Elm) for bags, gloves, and information — then head out to clean, restore, and beautify our neighborhoods.

Bellevue Blossom & Broom Weekend Kickoff

Last year, Bellevue City Councilmember Jessica Obenauf sparked a simple but transformative idea: bring community dumpsters to Clean Sweep weekend so residents could declutter, clean up, and jump‑start their spring home and yard projects. The response was overwhelming — and this year, we’re taking that momentum a step further with our Bellevue Blossom & Broom Weekend, offering expanded dumpster access all weekend long to support residents as they tackle their own spring clean‑up and garden‑ready projects.

Clear Creek Disposal — Five Community Dumpsters for Bellevue All Weekend

As residents broom, trim, and tidy for the season ahead, Bellevue’s garbage provider, Clear Creek Disposal, is taking care of the “where do I put this?” problem by donating five community dumpsters for the weekend.

Winn Compost — Supporting a Greener Bellevue

As we get our yards ready to blossom, Winn Compost is working their green magic by donating composting services for all the yard waste collected this weekend. Every branch, leaf pile, and spring clean‑up clipping becomes nutrient‑rich compost that nourishes local soils and keeps organic material out of the landfill.

A quick reminder for us all: Help keep the compost stream clean by tossing in only true green waste — no plastic bags, trash, lumber, or surprise extras. A little care at the bin means Winn Compost can keep working their magic and Bellevue can keep getting greener.

A Community Effort Worth Celebrating

The ERC Clean Sweep is made possible by the generous support of partners like Clear Creek Disposal and Winn Compost — and by the ERC itself, which is celebrating 30 years of providing education and inspiring action to cultivate a healthy environment. Their leadership continues to empower communities across the Wood River Valley to care for the places we all share.
