On September 26, 2025, the Bellevue Marshal’s Office initiated a traffic stop at approximately 0925 hours at the intersection of Main Street and Cedar Street. While the officer was approaching the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle produced a firearm, causing a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Additional back up and medical were dispatched to the scene. The driver of the vehicle was transported by ambulance to the St. Lukes Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. The Bellevue Marshals office would like everyone to know the area is secure and there is no threat to the public. We would like to thank Blaine County Emergency Communications Center, Blaine Co. Sheriff’s Office, Hailey PD, Hailey Fire, and Woodriver Ambulance for their assistance. We also would like to express our thoughts and prayers to the family at this tragic time.
